So did you like the pitch? Fortunately, my lecturers did! I received a first (76%) for my pitch! This reassured me that my idea was as good as I thought it was.
Before the pitch, I forgot to mention the most important part of the process so far. Yes, the idea is great, but without access to any interviews and recording, I have nothing. I emailed the club several times in the build up to my pitch, but I didn't get a response. I tried a few different emails assosiated with the club, but wasnt getting any luck.
I was getting worried, and thought there isn't much chance of Spencer Owen, who has almost one million followers, replying to a DM on instagram. However to my surprise, he replied and asked what I need from him and got me involved.
After this, I hired out my camera equipment and got to work. I had to ask and organise coming along to film with head of media, Marcus Stamp, who was really good with me!
I came to my first game, which was Brackley Town at home in the FA Trophy, a side in the league above! I spent the day filming behind the scenes footage of the media team setting up and then also filming clips of the game and fans.
After the game, I asked what Stampy and Kerim (content editor) were doing, were they editing the video straight after the game? They said they were going to the Hashtag HQ, to edit, so I asked if I could join them there, to record a piece to camera, and get footage in the HQ. They allowed me to do this and it was so worth going.
